Raw Chickenobia 🐓

If you’re from the the South, you probably grew up on your nana’s fried chicken like I did. We’d all gather for Sunday dinner and would have a spread that would make you wanna slap yo’ mama.

Somewhere along the way, my taste buds and stomach did a flippity flop and decided they didn’t like yard bird anymore. I know, I know....how can anyone from the South, especially Chester, Ga, not like fried chicken????

I have a more serious issue than not eating fried chicken.....don’t laugh, don’t even snicker......I AM AFRAID OF RAW CHICKEN 😱

I break out in sweats and the hairs on my arms stand straight up just at the thought. When it comes to actually handling the chicken, it’s a gag fest!

Just ask my friends about the time I volunteered to help at a chicken plate fundraiser 🤦‍♀️ Please tell me I’m not the only person with Raw Chickenobia

As scared as I am of the salmonella nightmare, my family likes so I put on my hazmat suit and gas mask periodically and fry them up a batch..... needless to say, I fix myself something else.

I’m a little biased, but my chicken ( see below 🐓🐔🐓) does look pretty swangin‘ <—— if you never heard of this word, all I can say is you can take the girl out of the country, but can’t take the country out of the girl - YEE HAW 🤠
