Ouch!! That’s Gonna Leave A Mark!!

One of my favorite things to do is put on some fuzzy socks, crawl up under my cool, crisp sheets, fix my lumpy pillows that fit my head just right, and watch Netflix on one of those technological devices that I’m not sure I could make it without; my phone. Sounds exciting, right? Did I mention I’m usually in the bed and doing this by 8 o’clock? You know, when I was in my teens, if I was at home on a Friday night it was like the end of the world. It’s funny how things come around because now if I’m not at home and in the bed by 8 o’clock, Dooms Day is upon us.

Last night, I’m laying in bed doing my usual. By the way, if you have not watched Heartland on Netflix you should really check that series out. I’m on my second episode and I remember I need to take my sleeping medicine. I take it and continue watching my show. I'm another episode in and I feel my eyelids getting heavy. However, I just can't put my phone down because I'm about to find out if Jack is Claire's father. It's about to get juicy and I just can't miss it.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a UFO comes barreling through the sky as if it was launched by a missile thrower! Like a magnetic force, the UFO was drawn directly to my face. I'm no longer in a slumbering state and I'm ready to attack as I'm sure an alien invasion is upon me because of the unexplained flying object that just crashed into my facial region.

Ok, I'm being a tad dramatic. Long story short, I can't deny the fact that my sleeping medication works. I had fallen asleep while holding my phone and dropped it on my face! I can't believe I don't have a black eye.

Has this or something similar ever happened to you? I couldn't help but to laugh at myself.
